We are a Soto Zen Buddhist community practicing in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi and affiliated with Zoketsu Norman Fischer's Everyday Zen foundation.
We offer regular meditation opportunities, retreats, and other practice events in Calgary, Alberta.
Our activities are open to all and beginners are always welcome.
ANNOUNCEMENT: The annual meeting of the Calgary Soto Zen Society will take place on Sunday, March 15th at 7 pm on Zoom. All are welcome regardless of membership status. Reports and financial statements will be presented and the Board will be asking people to participate in the discussion of the future of our society. Especially important will be whether the Society should continue as a legally incorporated religious society. Please attend if you can.
